Welcome to the Directorate of Students' Affairs at The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, where we support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
The Directorate of Students’ Affairs at The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki (TOPS), plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall student experience by providing comprehensive support services and fostering a vibrant campus community. Led by the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Mr. Adeoti O. Michael, the directorate is dedicated to promoting students’ academic success, personal development, and well-being.
Student Welfare Services: Addressing student concerns, ensuring a conducive learning environment, and providing guidance on various welfare issues.
Orientation Programs: Organizing orientation sessions to familiarize new students with campus facilities, academic regulations, and available resources.
Student Organizations and Leadership: Overseeing the activities of student associations, clubs, and the Student Union Government (SUG), and facilitating leadership development opportunities.
Counseling Services: Offering counseling and support services to assist students in managing personal, academic, and social challenges.
Discipline and Conduct: Upholding institutional policies by promoting discipline, decency, and diligence among the student body.
Recent Initiatives:
In June 2022, the directorate facilitated a summit between the Student Union Executive and the institution’s management to discuss various student-related issues, including school fees, medical services, and campus security. This initiative underscores the directorate’s commitment to addressing student concerns through dialogue and collaboration.
Additionally, the directorate has been proactive in organizing orientation programs for new students, emphasizing the importance of academic integrity, campus safety, and active participation in extracurricular activities. These programs aim to equip students with the necessary tools to navigate their academic journey successfully.
