Admissions

The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki (TOPS), is dedicated to fostering academic excellence by admitting students who demonstrate the potential and readiness to excel in their chosen fields. Our admission policy outlines the criteria and procedures for entry into our National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programs.

National Diploma (ND) Programs

Full-Time Admission:

• Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME): Candidates must have participated in the UTME and obtained a score that meets or exceeds the minimum cut-off mark set by TOPS for the desired program.

• O’Level Requirements: Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. Specific subject requirements may vary by program.

• Post-UTME Screening: Eligible candidates are required to participate in the institution’s post-UTME screening exercise, which assesses their suitability for the chosen course of study.

Part-Time Admission:

• UTME Exemption: Candidates applying for ND part-time programs are not required to have taken the UTME.

• O’Level Requirements: Applicants must have five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

• Application Process: Prospective students should complete the online application form and pay the prescribed application fee. 

Higher National Diploma (HND) Programs

• National Diploma (ND) Qualification: Applicants must possess a National Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution, with a minimum of Lower Credit.

• Industrial Training (IT): Candidates are required to have completed a mandatory one-year Industrial Training (IT) or possess two years of relevant work experience if they graduated with a Pass grade in their ND program.

• O’Level Requirements: Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

• Application Process: Interested candidates must complete the online application form, submit academic transcripts, and pay the stipulated application fee. Further details are provided on the TOPS official website.
